Differences between riding bike, taking the bus

The weather and street conditions have allowed me to get in a few days of January bike commuting this week.

Here are a few differences between those two Kremlin-approved modes of transportation.

Riding the bike is good exercise.

Riding the bus allows me to zone out and listen to NPR.

There’s no waiting for the bike to arrive and pick me up.

Tweeting is possible on the bus.

Riding my bike is cheaper.

The bus is warmer.

On my bike, I can beep my horn at predawn felines on the prowl.

Better people-watching on the bus.

On the bike, I get to say hello to people out walking their dogs in the dark.

One the bus, dogs seldom lunge at me.

Bike helmet can mash down my hair.

On the bus, I occasionally hear laughter.
