Bravo to teachers

Walking out is not an act of aggression or “bullying.” It is a form of peaceful protest that our nation was founded on.

I, for one, am refreshed by the involvement of our educators and students standing united. I was fortunate to graduate from public schools, just before public education became what it is now. I got a quality education with a less than 20 percent focus on standardized testing.

If we are expecting our educators to commit so much time and energy to these tests, the least we can do is adequately fund it. If we stay complacent, nothing ever changes. I say bravo to all involved in this constitutional exercise.
