Young reporters can sometimes be rocked back on their heels by the “Who gives a …?” question.

One thing they need to remember is that you can ask that question about any story idea. Belligerence does not imply insight.

And the other thing to keep in mind is that most of those asking that are small, emotionally stunted adult virgins who like to complain but have zero good ideas of their own.
