This is my friend Mike Wirt. He’s retired now, but he used to be the director of the Spokane County library system.

He is a Habit for Humanity volunteer.

Mike knows winter. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. My having a connection to The Soo was the basis of some of our earliest conversations.

Mike has been in The Slice almost 20 times over the years. He is a good guy.
