How to find out what kind of bugs you have in your yard

Peel a banana, place it on the ground and leave it alone for a couple of days.

Then check back and see what there is to see.

A professor at WSU recommended this to me and I have done it a couple of times since. Once the results were unimpressive. But another time the banana attracted a fair amount of attention.
