Remember this story?

The approach of Memorial Day reminded me of this downtown Spokane tale.

And by the way, when I say “Remember this story?” I am not necessarily referring to the article linked to below. Virtually all Spokane news media covered the beejezus out of this.

One of the oddest things to emerge from the saga was some lunatic on the Internet rewriting the tale to make it seem as though it had happened in San Antonio.
