Old enough to know better
A few years ago, Edgar Lincoln’s mother was undergoing treatments for cancer.
(She responded well and is doing fine.)
During the course of these procedures, Edgar and his sister would repeatedly be asked for their mom’s date of birth. The answer became second nature. So much so that when Edgar would find himself in a situation where he was being asked for his own DOB, his reflexive response was to provide his mother’s date of birth.
It caused a moment of confusion. But he at least, for a moment, got to play the part of someone who looks young for his age.
