Paul’s People, No. 46
Here I am with my friend and former colleague Jim Kershner.
Jim retired a few years ago. But while he was at the paper, and it was a long time, he was one of the reasons working at The Spokesman-Review was fun.
Jim has a delightful sense of what’s funny. And he is an excellent story teller.
He was and is a fine journalist. He’s also a good man.
When I was recovering from brain surgery this summer, Jim sent me a goofy postcard every day. For weeks.
On each card, he wrote something witty.
I got to where I really looked forward to this daily dose of humor and counted on its arrival.
I hope I remembered to thank him.
