Paul’s People, No. 47
You know those people who talk about themselves and never ask you a question about your own life?
Well, Don Adair is not like that. I really think he is one of the more modest guys in Spokane. I knew Don for years before I ever learned that he had been a big deal in Spokane radio back in the day. And I did not hear it from him.
Actually, there are lots of reasons I like Don. One of them is that he occasionally shares a delightful story that I use in my column.
Here’s one from Sept. 17, 2005.
“The first time I took my dog Skip on my paper route, she thoughtfully went back and retrieved all the papers we’d delivered, leaving them in a pile in the front yard. The amazing part is we lived in a town with two morning newspapers, and she brought back only the ones we’d left.”
