Lynee Carpenter shared these 1958 photos of her cat, Ford.

“Named after my dad’s truck.”

Lynee, who was 4 at the time, was learning to read then.

One picture shows Ford warming up against Herkimer the pig. “I assume the arrangement was mutual.”

The other shows Ford with some chickens. Lynee said the hens in the barn would keep an eye on Ford’s kittens when she was out hunting.
