Long Ear moving to old Army-Navy store

Owners of The Long Ear music store Deon and Terry Borchard celebrated the store’s 4th anniversary in 2013. Now they’re moving to a new and larger location, in the old Army-Navy store on Government Way. (Kathy Plonka / The Spokesman-Review)

The Long Ear, the venerable Coeur d’Alene record store, is relocating later this month. After 16 years on Fourth Street just south of Appleway, the Long Ear will move about half a mile away, to 1620 N. Government Way. The building housed Phil’s Army and Navy Outdoor store until a couple months ago. “I think this will be a good move for us,” said Deon Borchard, who owns the Long Ear with her husband Terry. In addition to offering more square footage than their current location, the new spot also will be more accessible/ Carolyn Lamberson , SR. More here.
