How the new S-R editor will be chosen

Nobody has asked me, but here are a few answers.

No, there will not be a summer convention of the Marmot Lodge, at which delegates will select a new newsroom leader.

The editor will not be chosen in response to a poll in The Slice.

Campaign buttons probably won’t determine the results.

Debates will not play a role.

But I wouldn’t rule out name-calling.
