Trump’s disrespect shocking

I have heard it said that people are voting with their middle finger. A recent political cartoon in the paper supported that. One can only assume that since it was directed at Republicans that it was regarding Donald Trump.

It is painful to watch the disrespect that manifests itself every time he opens his mouth. It is shocking to me, though many people find it amusing at the least and support it because he is forthright and not politically correct.

The person who is to become our next president is the face of our country. That person will represent all of us. While the masses were shouting “Heil Hitler” before World War II, they were voting with their middle finger at the current government. They wanted to follow someone who would make Germany great again. Sound familiar?

The rest of the world is laughing at the comedy played out in the form of “debates,” which are merely spectacles of disrespect and mockery. I am ashamed. No, I won’t be moving to Canada, but will be tempted to sew a maple leaf on my backpack when I travel.
