Check out iCivic website

In regard to the article on basic knowledge of our governmental structure, let me add that retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor has created an attractive and user-friendly online website designed to teach civics called “iCivic.” There are games, lesson plans for classroom teachers and boatloads of information available for use both in school and at home.

This website should be cleared by the curriculum departments in area school districts, and be used to give depth of understanding of the United States’ civic structure through our schools. If your child’s district/school/teacher does not make use of this site, you can indulge in it anywhere your computer accesses the internet.

Because this site is available online, our excuses for lacking knowledge of our civic structure are limited. So, outta the way. I’m heading there now.
