There is more than one Lake City

You know how Coeur d’Alene is often known as the Lake City?

Sure. Well, did you know there are more than a few places in the U.S. actually named that?

According one online source, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota and Texas are all home to a community called Lake City.

Tennessee used to have a Lake City, but now it’s called Rocky Top.

So I’m wondering. Should Coeur d’Alene also change its name to Rocky Top?
