A friend recalls an interview

I heard from a former colleague who now lives in Chicago.

She had been looking at some of my old Tweets and saw one with a link to my blog post that was a mock template for interviewing Sir Mix-A-Lot.

She wrote: “I actually interviewed him back when I was covering music and he gave me one of my favorite quotes ever. He said he was disenchanted with trying to write hits after his initial success because all the record label wanted was more of the same. He said something (jokingly, I think) about them wanting him to record ‘Baby Got Side’ and ‘Baby Got Front.’ Still cracks me up.”
