CMR supports military families

Eastern Washington’s representative, Cathy McMorris Rodgers, understands the hardships faced not just by service members but also by military families. As a military wife and mom, I am so appreciative of all that Cathy does for military families.

Cathy is co-founder of the bipartisan Congressional Military Family Caucus and just this past month hosted a summit at Fairchild to help military families. Cathy and her Democratic colleague led the event focused on assisting military spouses and families with finding employment, having access to high quality education and health care, and finding suitable housing.

In recent years, the Military Family Caucus has worked on mental health, Wounded Warrior support, finding resources for homeless vets, health care and education. Her husband, Brian, is a retired Navy pilot.

We’re fortunate to have a representative like Cathy who understands that one of the best ways to support service members is by supporting their families.
