Man slips on ice, shoots himself

A man accidentally shot himself in the arm as he slipped and fell on the ice near Newman Lake early Thursday morning.

Deputies were called to the 10500 block of North McCoy Road around 12:40 a.m. by a resident who said a man had been shot. Deputies who responded found a 25-year-old wounded man who was vague about what had happened but said someone else was involved, said Deputy Mark Gregory.

As investigators pressed for further details about a suspect, the man confessed that no one else was there, Gregory said/ Nina Culver , SR. More here.
