Dunau to focus on Spokane

I have watched City Council focus on many subjects in the world beyond municipal government over the last four years. There is a reason that potholes and infrastructure are the topic of conversation in every campaign cycle, so to spell it out: that reason is because our City Council doesn’t want to handle the nitty gritty of municipal government. They would rather focus on topics outside the reach of what our fine city should be handling.

They like to take political positions on North Dakota, on elephant hooks, global environmental policy, and railroad operations, which is legislated federally. While many of these are noble causes, they do not further the maintenance of our city’s resources in road, sewer, garbage collection, fire, police, etc.

Every minute focused on items not on task of municipal government are minutes lost to improve infrastructure and safety. We have had a great deal of time lost in the last several years. If you want someone on council to invest focused time on our infrastructure, please join me in supporting Andy Dunau for District 2.
