Costco roundabout poorly planned

While I agree that adapting to roundabouts can take some time, it is not helped by the county’s current policy of letting traffic accelerate to 55 mph after the Highway 2-Nevada Street intersection, and then expecting motorists to hit the roundabout at a much reduced speed (15 mph).

It would make far more sense to push the 55 mph zone to east of the Costco roundabout. This could prevent some of the high-speed zooming around the circle which has been observed of late and decrease other motorists’ reluctance to enter what could be perceived as a danger zone.
