A priceless deed

I have to share a story with everybody. Today I sent my staff to Spokane to purchase all of our needs for our Boys & Girls Club Christmas party this Friday for our kids. Staff came back and informed me that when they were going through the line at Wal-Mart, they were a little over $91 on their purchase. Staff was going to bring some items back in order to be at the limit that they had.

A nice lady that was in line behind my staff asked, “Is the stuff you are buying, are they for kids?”

My staff informed her that yes and we were Wellpinit Boys & Girls Club from Wellpinit, located on the Spokane Indian Reservation. The lady informed the clerk that she would pay the difference. My staff said that we would be okay. The lady told my staff that she will take care of the difference and she wouldn’t take no for an answer or give her name or any other information. She just said that she will cover the cost.

Staff thanked this kind lady.

You hear of stories like this and it is nice to be one of those stories of people showing how big of hearts they have. This made my day when I was told this.

Today we will talk about sharing and respect with our kids here at the club as a prevention activity and inform the kids of the generosity of this lady.

This is priceless.

Thanks to that caring person out there.
