Advisory vote a strong message

The voters have spoken. It was great to have the stadium location choice on the ballot - advisory or not -a 2-to-1 vote is quite significant. The article from Nov. 11 (“Stadium decision reverts to school board”) wonders what went wrong. I say nothing.

The article of Nov. 11 says the proponents never presented a compelling visual. Yes they did, with a nice rendering of a 5,000-seat stadium shoehorned into the current east side parking lot. It was an excellent visual.

The article also implies that some of the voters were puzzled over exactly what they were voting on. I don’t believe that 65 percent of the voters were puzzled or confused. The current Albi property is an awesome location and can handle anything that is imagined for the structure. Parking is abundant.

So yes, the voters indeed have sent a very strong message to the school board.
