Better use of our taxes

I just want express my opinion regarding the decision to lay off teachers due to not enough funds; provide millions for Governor Inslee to travel the country for his “run” for the presidency; and spend untold thousands of dollars to feed students before school.

Tell me, please, what sense does this make?

I understand that there are certain “pots” of money this comes from and the needs are from different funds. However, there must be a way to “find” monies to pay the teachers for the education our children need. Instead of letting Governor Inslee hobnob all around the country campaigning for what he hopes to have as a new job, with his entourage of WSP guards at an exorbitant amount of taxpayers dollars, provide the teachers the dollars needed to keep their jobs!

Since when does the governor’s job position dictate that his “protection” is more important than the education of our children in this state?

Since when are we to pay for the campaigning of the governor and for governing our state when any level-headed person knows it can’t be done? And, the attorney general will be paid in addition at a cost to taxpayers, to maintain the governor’s position … perhaps to keep his job in the event he doesn’t win the election?

Whatever the motivation, is it really appropriate to put our tax dollars to this wasteful end?

The taxes we pay could be better used than what is being proposed!

Wake up, people!
