Wall is just a distraction

Concerning Jeff Reyburn’s letter on Jan. 23, “Wall is part of the solution”:

I’d like to remind Mr. Reyburn that in 2013, during the Obama administration, a bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform agreement was reached that had the votes to pass, It had E-verify provisions to prevent employers from hiring illegal immigrants among border security measures and a legal pathway to citizenship. Then-Speaker John Boehner refused to bring it to the floor for a vote because then, like now, right-wing media started screaming “amnesty!” and Boehner didn’t want his Republican members to take a vote that would upset their rabid right-wing base.

Donald Trump doesn’t want immigration reform, he wants a boogeyman to keep the focus off his own illegal and possibly treasonous actions.
