CMR defends Trump

U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, in her faithful way, has come to the defense of her president for his alleged manipulation of Ukraine’s leadership for his own political purposes.

She says she has not yet seen an impeachable offense here. But is there anything egregious or craven enough this president could do that she might find disturbing?

His entire dictator-like agenda — from demonizing the most vulnerable groups to trying to destroy the free press — is apparently OK.

Is she still holding out for a Cabinet position?

It’s a wonder she hasn’t choked to death from breathing the lint in his pocket.
