Our only protection

I own a gun and it saved my life.

We need to be allowed to protect ourselves and others from these mass suicide shooters besides waiting for a policeman with a gun to protect us. The black market must be brought down before asking people to give up the only protection we have. Why ask a policeman to have a gun but not law-abiding citizens?

Politicians have the privilege of gun protection so why shouldn’t we?

We already have background checks in place. I know because I had to have a background check in order to buy a gun. We must follow the example of Switzerland. Everyone has guns and they are required to train yearly. Let’s start with requirements in training, then. But right now we are sitting ducks while our politicians go around with bodyguards and guns.
