Issue: Congressman Butch Otter sponsors legislation to allow the sale of public land, including Idaho’s, to help pay for the relief effort from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita

DFO: If my good friend Betsy Russell/Eye On Boise hadn’t written about Otter doing this here and here. This looks more like a way for Butch to allow his got-rocks buddies to get their hands on the creme de l’creme of Idaho’s public lands. What is he thinking?

Question: Am I over-reacting here? Is there merit in selling off Idaho’s public lands to pay for hurricane relief?
