Peanut Gallery: Public Part of HHospitality’s Lawn

Susie Snedaker: Hagadone Hospitality does publish a notice at the first of the year for those interested in applying for the use of a space a few times each year in front of the hotel. This space was in concrete at one time but was grassed over in the redesign of the entry. The redesign was approved by the Planning Commission. The use of this space is included in the PUD as is the public access to the boardwalk. I do not remember the city abandoning the property.

DFO: Susie, a former Coeur d'Alene P&Z commissioner, is responding to my comment from last night re: the public space that sits underneath HHospitality's front lawn -- space that Uncle Duey is required to offer to the public a coupla times per year. Frankly, I'd rather give him the space in exchange for permanent access to the eastern end of Sanders Beach.
