Huckleberries Online

Cis: Why Can’t They Put Ads On Side Rails?

Cis: I for one don't like the mid ads. Why can't they put it on the side like the other blogs? (at least I don't recall any with mid ads). It ruins the flow ... just MHO.

DFO: As I said elsewhere, HBO is trying to enter a brave new world in which advertising is intruding a bit on our raucous, passionate debate. In one way, I appreciate that HBO is one of the trail-blazers for the new ads. (BTW, I believe the banner ads above from Coeur d'Alene Cellars and Stoneride are dyne-oh!-mite. Extremely classy.) Who knows? Someday, mebbe the paper can afford to make me a full-time blogger. Dunno if I'd want that. But it's an idea. As you know re: blog-world, things are always changing. I'm willing to try things to keep what we have here intact. Let me know your thoughts re: the new ads (which are dropped in the text between the second and third posts).
