MikeK: Put Fork In Reagan Repubs

Factoid: Reagan Republicans endorsed 6 candidates in the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls city elections last night. None of their candidates won. The Reagan Republicans have now endorsed 7 candidates in the Coeur d'Alene city and School Board races this year. None of their candidates won.

Councilman Mike Kennedy (via Facebook): Dear friends in North Idaho: there's a lesson in tonight's election results. If you are running for office and you are: a) endorsed by "Reagan Republicans"; or b) hire their firm "Strategery"; or c) associate yourself with Jeff Ward, Jeff Tyler, Ron Lahr, or any of their leaders; then it clearly follows that: d) you will lose your election. Period, end of story. The curtain has been raised and it turns out that many of us were right all along - the Wizard is a small, tortured, pathetic man (or group of men in this case). Thanks, Coeur d'Alene voters. You chose optimism over pessimism. Ronald Reagan himself (always a strong optimist), would be proud of your electoral choices tonight.

DFO: I don't think we've seen the end of Jeff Squared-and-Lahr of the Reagan Republicans. The focus for 2014 will be the Republican primaries for county courthouse and legislative seats in Kootenai County. With the closed election, the Reagan Republicans will be vying with the even more Tea Partyish United Conservatives of North Idaho to elect largely unacceptable (to us majority Unaffiliateds) candidates. Who will be favored next fall because they'll have an "R" after their name.

Question: Friends don't let friends get endorsed by the Reagan Republicans?
