LCDC Has Helped Create 1800+ Jobs

Yesterday, you mentioned that LCDC has helped to create around 1,800 jobs. I think this is probably pretty close; probably higher. It's so hard to define in black and white. But here are some undisputed job counts. Tony and I recently met with all the candidates and jobs was a HUGE issue. Below is some information I sent the candidates after meeting with them. These are permanent jobs (note the $4.3 million Kroc payroll figure) and don't include many other permanent jobs we helped create, let alone decent paying construction jobs.

  • Riverstone: Jobs created: 740; Project value: $90 million; LCDC investment: $9 million.
  • U.S. Bank Call Center: Jobs created: 500+; Project value: $7 million; LCDC investment: $400,000.
  • Community Kroc Center: Jobs created: 235; Project value: $25 million; LCDC investment: $535,000.

More here.

Question: Why are Twin Falls jobs more important to the Reagan Republican candidates for Coeur d'Alene municipal office than the ones LCDC helped create here (1800+, not counting construction jobs)?
