A Hug For Laurie

It isn't hard to guess who Idaho Gov. Butch Otter is endorsing for Kootenai County treasurer. At a fundraiser at Coeur d'Alene Cellars Saturday, Butch had his arm around Assistant Treasurer Laurie Thomas, who is running for the office now held by retiring Treasurer Tom Malzahn. Malzahn held onto the office about 18 months longer than he wanted to because he didn't want the Tea-publican-controlled Central Committee to maneuver its candidate into office (as it later did with current Clerk Jim Brannon). Malzahn supports Thomas, too. BTW, can you find Jimmy-MAC in this photo? (Photo: Duane Rasmussen)
