Stage Left: Newbies Don’t Understand

Stage Left (RE: Report: Idaho going downhill fast): This will come out as anti-newcomer, but it seems to me that the most active people participating in local elections are newcomers. Many moved here with a pocket full of change, an attitude of I got mine damn the rest and an opinion that government and government spending is BAD. That might be true in places like California, but here in Idaho there are many many things needing government action and spending. Traveling through the new gated communities last week where many of these folks live and it hit me: A) They have means B) They do not understand Idaho, or that so many live in poverty C) They can’t tell the difference between a wolf and coyote.

Question: Do you agree/disagree that North Idaho's move to the Far Right can be traced to ideologues who have moved her from other parts of the country, especially California?
