Comcast, Time Warner To Merge

Comcast announced Thursday that it plans to buy Time Warner Cable in an all-stock deal worth over $45 billion. The proposed merger would create an enormous company with extensive control over content and Internet services, and would have a major effect on the country’s telecommunications industry.
