Man missing in Twin Lakes

The holiday weekend is getting off to a tragic start in Twin Lakes today as divers continue searching for a suspected drowning victim. Before going under the water, the 65-year-old man had jumped from a stopped boat to cool off in the lake at Twin Lakes Village, said Jim Lyon, spokesman for Northern Lakes Fire District. “He came back up and indicated he needed help,” Lyon said. The man, whose name has not yet been released, then disappeared from sight of his wife and family members who were boating with him. Local residents heard people screaming for help on the water, Lyon said. Emergency crews were called and some local people swam out to assist/Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
