The car cruise around downtown will run from 6 to 9 p.m. today, and road closures will occur earlier to ensure ample time for vehicles to be moved and to help ensure pedestrian safety once the even begins.

The cruise route is expanded this year to allow more people to view and enjoy the classic cars.

Saturday’s full Car d’Lane show will take up much of downtown Sherman and Lakeside avenues. The road closure of that area will begin at 7 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. There will be numerous vehicle crossings on north and south streets to ensure motorists can continue to travel to businesses in the area.
