Complaint pattern disturbing

The Spokesman-Review

I read with complete dismay that University High School teacher Mike Cronin is back at work after “several complaints” of inappropriate behavior with students. I fear for students in his care, and if I was a parent with a child in that school, I would demand he was removed or my child would change schools.

Why do we not protect our children in this society enough? This man has had several complaints alleging inappropriate behavior with children and we are going to pay him to teach our children?

Wake up! I am a mental health therapist and I have worked with countless victims over the years, and although I do not know anything more specific than what was reported in the newspaper on Sept. 23, I have grave concerns for the safety of children under this man’s care.

I also have no confidence in a school system that would allow a teacher to return to teaching after multiple complaints alleging inappropriate behavior.
