Funding account tardy

The Spokesman-Review

I applaud The Spokesman-Review for publishing Jim Camden’s article about the out-of-town funding sources of much Prop 4 opposition (“Proposition foes’ funding is mostly from out of town,” Oct. 21). However, it would have been a much more useful and informative article had it appeared several weeks ago, before the ballots were mailed out and before many people in Spokane had their voting decision influenced by the scare tactics of the opponents of Prop 4. As it is, those opposing Prop 4 have created an atmosphere of fear (“Save Our Spokane!”) that has made a reasonable discussion of the issues involved next to impossible, which is a disservice to Spokane voters.
