The Spokesman-Review

In the monologues (I cannot call them discussions) on health care, some make the point that forcing providers of health insurance to cover existing conditions would be like allowing someone to have a crash and then force an auto insurance provider to give coverage.

I get the impression that some people who strongly resist providing health care for existing conditions would prefer (to borrow from Dickens’ Scrooge) that such sufferers get on with it and die, thus reducing the excess population.
