Congress feeds sweet tooth

The Spokesman-Review

Another hike in the national debt! I quote Andrew Taylor of the Associated Press: “… designed by Democratic leaders to ensure that the rank and file won’t have to vote again to run up another increase before facing voters increasingly angry over government spending and debt in the November midterm elections.”

Our government does not know how to live within a budget, nor do they want to. Their talents run instead toward inventing new programs to appease the (ignorant?) masses, the same as offering candy to placate an ill-used child.

In the meantime, unelected czars sit on their lofty thrones playing poker with America’s future.
