Training, apparatus at stake

The Spokesman-Review

What is Fire District 4’s levy lid lift about? Money? No, this is about providing the proper equipment, fire stations and training to your neighbors, who are the volunteers, part-time and full-time firefighters who live near you and respond to your 911 calls.

I am a retired volunteer firefighter (started in 1975). I can tell you that up-to-date equipment and training make the difference when responding to a fire or accident or EMS call.

I urge voters to help their neighbor to help them, by voting yes on the levy lid lift.
