Freedom wasn’t the plan

The Spokesman-Review

Every country has a duty and obligation to defend their borders as well as their citizens. Why then is Israel being condemned?

The so-called “freedom fighters” aboard the recent Turkish flotilla were asked to divert to the Port of Ashdod for weapons and contraband inspection. They refused. These people are not freedom fighters but rather terrorists with the intention of inciting war in the region.

Israel’s belligerent neighbors, with encouragement from Iran, would like nothing less than for Israel to disappear forever.

The region’s inhabitants should consider having peace negotiations rather than igniting chaos aboard ships. The people of Gaza are not deprived of essentials, as insinuated.
