Review Second Amendment

Something is wrong in our country. You can be jailed for possession of marijuana or casual overdose of alcoholic beverages, but it is OK for a mentally disturbed individual to possess an arsenal of sophisticated automatic firearms.

Our Constitution’s Second Amendment qualified arms as those necessary to support the militia, who at that time faced British troops armed with single-shot, hand-loaded weapons. Utilization of modern automatic weapons in the cause of national home defense is remote indeed.

Our interpretation of Second Amendment language can surely consider 21st-century conditions, without being a threat to my ownership of sporting firearms.
