It’s a sexual perversion

I guess as far as Tim Wolfe is concerned (“Fables corrupt thinking,” Jan. 17) homosexual couples deserve tolerance, but Bible-believing Christians don’t. But truthfully, whether or not he believes the Bible to be written by God or that it’s a fairy tale matters not one iota. What does matter is the decayed moral condition of this country.

Many people use the “traditional marriage” argument against same-sex marriage, but I don’t necessarily see that as the defining reason same-sex couples shouldn’t legally be allowed to marry. I believe the No. 1 reason is that homosexuality is sexual perversion, plain and simple. If it wasn’t, gays and lesbians wouldn’t have felt any need to stay in the closet, and they wouldn’t have to work so hard at pushing their agenda down our throats.

Why should legal status be awarded to relationships that are sexually perverse? What message would that send to our children?

Since our state government mistakenly decided it is its job to decide this matter, I sincerely hope that my legislators have the moral character to vote no on HB 2516 and SB 6239.
