Zip lines not ecological
Aug. 27’s article on zip lines reported that “property owners have proposed a zip line course for ecological tours on the north side of Mica Peak.” Zip lines may be exciting and fun, but they are definitely not ecological. Building towers, landing platforms, stringing cables and zooming over the forest at speeds up to 50 mph is the antithesis of ecology.
Build what you will, but don’t shroud it under the blanket of ecology.
