Preserve commissaries

Today’s military pay looks pretty good, at least compared to what it was when I served. Everything is relative, I guess. What’s usually not factored in is the military lifestyle and all that it encompasses. Big difference now. Yet our government keeps looking for new ways to diminish that compensation.

Commissaries are on the chopping block now. These stores are a big money-saver for the troops and a morale booster.

There seem to be a lot of “Support Our Troops” banners and stickers about. I encourage those who want to support our troops to wear your heart on your sleeve. Write your representatives and tell them to leave the commissaries alone.
