List weapons permits

Recently, residents of New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties were upset with their newspaper. It seems the paper had obtained and published a list of all residents who have concealed weapons permits.

A few of these individuals were upset at having their names published with reference to firearms. The Journal News defended the article, saying its readers “are understandably interested to know about guns in their neighborhood.”

If I were listed, I would thank the paper for the recognition. The not so good side of society now knows not to try to break into my residence, due to having personal protection, and which homes are easy marks.

For those not on the list, “good luck,” and I hope there is a policeman that is only 30 seconds away, because that is all the time you have.
