Guns protect all rights

To those of you who believe in the confiscation of all guns, I want you to know that I don’t appreciate you deciding for me that in order for you to feel safer the rest of us need to lose our God-given rights. Understand this: the government does not have the right to take away what is guaranteed by God.

It’s absurd that we the people should allow the government to take away the only tool we have to guarantee us access to the rest of the rights in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The Founding Fathers understood there would come a time when government would get too big and self-serving and they armed the people with a defense against that. The fact that some believe government has the right to take away the people’s defense against itself is very scary.

Who will defend you against that same government should it decide that the First Amendment or the rest are no longer in its best interest? The right for the individual to bear arms is non-negotiable and nonrevocable by the government, and it can never be if we are to remain a free people.
