Don’t judge by emotion

We are a country of laws (well, we used to be, anyway). We do not judge people by emotion, even if it seems right at times. To do so will make the laws that are designed to make us more civilized meaningless. Sometimes, events happen that test our nation of laws, but that is the time when our leaders need to remind us of such instead of fostering discontent and eviscerating the body of law we still have.
