Letters: Poor timing for column

I believe most Christians believe the Bible to be the truth told with a mixture of fact and fable. The “wise men” who edit your paper revealed their true nature by choosing Christmas Day to select a professor to debunk the Christmas story. Gee, you mean a real star didn’t settle over a stable in Bethlehem. Wouldn’t that have burned it down? And maybe Noah missed a few animals.

Maybe you should name your Christmas Fund after the winter solstice; that’s real. How about next Christmas you write an editorial called “No, Virginia.”
